Fungi associated with bryophytes in the British Isles
Pithyella chalaudii
Hosts: Frullania dilatata, but in Europe it has been recorded on other epiphytes, perhaps spreading from infected Frullania (see forum posts in AscoFrance). Host specificity is uncertain and multiple similar bryophilous taxa exist, most undescribed. P. trigona is similar but has triangular spores.
