Lasiosphaeria sphagni

Hosts: Scorpidium scorpioides, Sphagnum sp. Only known (preliminarily) from a single collection on Scorpidium in the British Isles, from Dorset, VC9. Leg. Matcham, H.

Seems to fit the original description as spores of this collection were around 45 x 10 um, and too broad for L. muscicola as was previously thought.

Setose perithecium on a stem of Scorpidium scorpioides. Leg. Matcham, H. VC9, Dorset.
Perithecium and subtending hyphae. Leg. Matcham, H. VC9, Dorset.
Ascospores and 8-spored asci. Ascospores straight, not bent. Leg. Matcham, H. VC9, Dorset.
