Bryosphaeria cinclidoti

Hosts: various mosses. In GBI on dead Didymodon rigidulus / Schistidium sp.

Black ascomata in dead shoot apices. The habit of the ascomata here is strongly reminiscent of some Bryostroma species, which occupy essentially the same microniche.
Multiseptate brown spores in water.
