Bryoscyphus phascoides

Hosts: Rhytidiadelphus squarrosus

Thanks to S. Rogerson for sending me this sample. Only a single apothecium was found among around 15 host shoots. It was on the lower regions of the infected shoot. Note, I am not sure if croziers were present in this collection.

Cells around the middle of the ectal excipulum. Leg. S. Rogerson. VC11, March 2022.
I did not see many ascus bases for croziers so not certain they are present. This is the only image I took and it is not great.
Some collection notes. I originally wrote that croziers were present, but I am not confident on this.
